Today we said, "Farewell to LJ Chaney." She died Sunday night, right after midnight. She was 95 years old. Bill and I had gone to visit her on Sunday. She was happy to see us. She recognized us and laughed at Bill's jokes. Bill brought her a cup of coffee and gave her a head and back rub. When he asked her what more she could want, she just looked at him with a mischievious smile and laughed.
Bill spoke at the service about her optimistic attitude. She never complained about anything. She was full of spunk and fun til the end. He said that he had learned a lot from her example. He read from Proverbs 31 about a virtuous woman. She was that...she will be missed.
